In 1842, Bel y Cia was founded, opening its first shop in the Plaza Real. The industrial revolution was well underway and the Spanish textile industry was at its peak. In 1854 the city walls where brought down and the Eixample neighborhood was constructed and developed, where Bel y Cia moved to in 1940. Today, our store is still in those premises on the Paseo de Gracia and is one of the few around the world to have a full in-house workshop, where the bespoke garments are carefully crafted.
